Opening day on September 4 is just over a month away and we are excited to get the year started. As our school embarks on its 61st year, we are putting more effort toward enhancing our school culture, creating authentic and relevant learning experiences, and developing the whole child through character development. Though we have evolved as a school community the last four years, we have not made any changes to our school's mission until now.

Two years ago, we began discussions about our mission statement by asking "do people know what it is and is it still relevant." After conversations with students, staff, and groups of parents/guardians, we determined that most did not know our mission without looking at our website and it did not have any meaning to our students. This past year we set out to develop a new mission statement by gathering input from those same groups of stakeholders. After quantifying and reviewing all of the input and getting feedback on our drafts, we crafted our new mission statement:
"To empower all learners to be successful."

Our goal is to build stronger and more confident learners so that each person will have the skill set to define and plan for his/her own success. We believe that all learners can be successful when matched with the resources, tools, and supports they need to maximize their potential. Our role is to provide a caring, collaborative, and inclusive learning community in which they can grow. Your partnership with us is most important and essential for this mission. The stronger our partnership, the greater success our students can achieve. This is The Lee-Davis Way.
