This will be my 19th year in public education. I received my bachelor's degree in adolescent mathematics education from Miami University. I have my master's degree in education administration and leadership from George Washington University and my doctorate in education leadership from VCU. I taught high school math for nine years across three states and have served as a high school administrator in Chesterfield and then Henrico for the past nine years.
My wife and I moved to Mechanicsville in 2013 to buy our first home and start a family. Since then we have added two children that will both be attending Hanover County elementary schools next year. We feel very blessed to send our children to such great schools.
