Mrs. Christina Alga is entering her 14th year in education and is currently in her 6th year at Mechanicsville High School, where she is serving her second year as the Director of School Counseling. Mrs. Alga is an alumni of Lee-Davis High School. Before returning home, she spent 8 years at Varina High School, both as a school counselor and the Director of School Counseling. She is a member of the American School Counseling Association and the Virginia School Counseling Association and actively attends conferences to continually enhance her knowledge and better serve her students and families.

Mrs. Alga is a proud alumni of Virginia Tech, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2010, she also completed her Masters of Education in School Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mrs. Alga resides in Henrico County with her husband, Johnny and two daughters, Juliana and Lainey. She enjoys spending time with her family on the water and cheering on the Hokies.
