Ms. Katrina Hester

This is Mrs. Hester’s 23rd year in education all in Hanover County. This is a full circle moment for her to return to serve at the high school where she graduated. Mrs. Hester started as an assistant principal at Mechanicsville High School during spring break 2025. During the 2024–2025 school year, she was senior teacher for 6th grade at Liberty Middle School. From 2021–2024, Mrs. Hester served as senior teacher at The Georgetown School supporting grades 6–12. From 2003–2021, she was a special education teacher at Bell Creek Middle School. In the summer of 2018, Mrs. Hester was ESY Coordinator for grades 6–12.

Mrs. Hester graduated from Mary Washington and Virginia Commonwealth University. She is endorsed in Administration & Supervision, Emotional, and Specific Learning Disabilities. Mrs. Hester resides in Henrico with her spouse and two children. She enjoys spending time with family, singing, and watching her kids swim and play field hockey.
